Our Services

Care plans are individualized and may include one or more of the following services. Each service entry links to a full page where you can learn more.

Acupuncture

Fine, sterile needles are placed at specific points to support the nervous system, hormonal signaling, circulation, and the body’s natural healing response. We practice a Traditional Chinese Medicine style using minimal needles and a light touch — each session is individualized and adjusted over time as your body responds.

Treatment may also include cupping therapy to support circulation and tissue release, electroacupuncture (e-stim) for pain and musculoskeletal recovery, or gua sha and tui na for areas of restriction and tension. These modalities are introduced thoughtfully and only when appropriate for your care.

Acupuncture is used across a wide range of concerns at Well Woman, including pain and musculoskeletal patterns, menstrual and pelvic health, digestive support, and hormonal balance.

Chinese Herbal Medicine, Supplements & Lifestyle

Chinese herbal medicine is prescribed individually, based on your specific health patterns and goals. While acupuncture supports regulation through the nervous system and circulation, herbal medicine works internally – addressing patterns that unfold over time and supporting deeper, longer-term change.

In addition to herbal formulas, we provide targeted supplement recommendations and practical dietary and lifestyle guidance. Recommendations are specific, reviewed over time, and coordinated with your other care to ensure they remain appropriate and effective.

Fertility Acupuncture

Fertility acupuncture uses the same gentle technique as general acupuncture, with treatment specifically tailored to reproductive health. Sessions are timed to the menstrual cycle or fertility treatment plan and informed by a detailed review of cycle patterns, ovulation timing, lab results, and prior treatment history.

We support patients trying naturally as well as those pursuing IVF or IUI, and we regularly collaborate with reproductive endocrinologists and fertility clinics throughout Colorado.

Acupuncture for IVF & IUI

Acupuncture for IVF and IUI is structured around the specific phases of assisted reproductive treatment – stimulation, retrieval, transfer, and recovery. Sessions are carefully timed and coordinated with your clinic’s protocol, with attention to ovarian response, uterine blood flow, and lining development at each stage.

We work regularly with patients at CCRM, Conceptions, and CNY Fertility, and have supported thousands of patients through the assisted reproduction process.

Acupuncture During Pregnancy

Pregnancy acupuncture is gentle, carefully adapted to each trimester, and always coordinated alongside your OB or midwife. Treatment is used to support common concerns throughout pregnancy – including nausea, fatigue, back and pelvic discomfort, sleep disruption, breech presentation, and preparation for labor.

Care extends into the postpartum period, adjusting to support recovery, lactation, sleep, and the significant physical and hormonal changes that follow birth. Newborns are welcome at postpartum visits.

Pediatric Acupuncture

Pediatric care at Well Woman is gentle, brief, and adapted to each child’s age and comfort. For infants and young children, we primarily use shōnishin — a traditional Japanese needle-free technique using gentle surface stimulation. For older children and teens, very fine needles may be used when appropriate and always with the child’s cooperation.

Pediatric visits are offered on the first Monday of each month from 10:00am–12:30pm in a quiet, focused clinic environment.

Hormonal Evaluation

Many patients come to us knowing something feels off but unsure what their hormones are actually doing. Our hormonal evaluation service is designed to help answer that question – reviewing existing lab work, ordering targeted testing when appropriate, and interpreting results within the context of your full health picture.

That information then guides acupuncture treatment, herbal medicine, supplement recommendations, and lifestyle guidance in a more precise and coordinated way. We work with reproductive hormones, thyroid patterns, adrenal function, and transitions such as perimenopause and menopause –  and we collaborate with your medical providers when findings warrant further evaluation or referral.

Available as a focused 1-month mini series or a comprehensive 2-month personalized program with 1:1 support and weekly check-ins.

What to Expect

Your first visit is designed to give your practitioner a complete picture of your health — so care can be tailored from the start.

Initial Visit

Your first appointment includes a thorough intake and conversation about your health history, current concerns, and goals. Treatment is tailored from the start. Initial visits are typically 75–90 minutes.

Treatment Experience

Most patients find treatments calming and restorative. You rest comfortably in a private room while the needles are in place. Many patients describe sessions as the most restful hour of their week.

Ongoing Care

Acupuncture works best as a series. Your care plan is adjusted over time based on how your body responds, what you are noticing, and where you are in your health journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a diagnosis before acupuncture can help?
No. Many patients begin care while still seeking answers. Acupuncture can support regulation and symptom patterns without a formal diagnosis.
Acupuncture is generally very gentle. The needles are extremely thin, and most people feel little to no discomfort.
Patients often seek care for hormonal balance, reproductive health, stress, sleep, pain, and nervous system support. Acupuncture works by supporting overall regulation rather than targeting a single symptom.
Does acupuncture replace medical care?
No. Acupuncture is a complementary therapy and works best as part of an integrated approach alongside conventional medical care.
Frequency depends on your goals and how your body responds. Many patients begin with weekly visits and adjust over time.
